Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the Guard Force:
    • Lead and motivate guards to ensure high standards of performance and discipline.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guards and guard posts, evaluating appearance, conduct, and adherence to procedures.
    • Conduct musters of guards going on duty, reviewing uniforms, security concerns, special instructions, and training.
    • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to new and existing guards.
    • Deploy guards for shifts or at specific facilities as directed by the COR.
  • Security Operations:
    • Investigate irregularities and incidents, writing clear and concise reports.
    • Supervise special function teams, such as mobile patrol units.
    • Oversee physical security and access control measures.
    • Manage and maintain security equipment (e.g., radios, communication systems).
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as a point of contact with the COR and GTM on operational guard force matters.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
    • Communicate effectively with guards, Mission personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Prepare reports and recommendations regarding guard performance, discipline, and termination.
    • Ensure all guards are properly uniformed and equipped according to contract specifications.
    • Oversee quality control and contract compliance within the assigned area of responsibility.

Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • Education: At least a secondary education, National Diploma, or High School diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience in military, police, or guard force roles with proven leadership experience.
  • Language Skills:
    • Fluent in the local language(s).
    • English language proficiency.
  • Security Expertise:
    • Proficient in physical security and access control procedures.
    • Trained in the use of physical methods of control and restraint.
    • Experience with basic communications and radio use/procedures.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Host-country driver's license (current).
    • Firearms training and certification (if applicable, as per local regulations and contract requirements).
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Commitment to professionalism and maintaining high standards of conduct.
