Job Description

Sanford Federal Inc. is seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to serve as Senior Guards within the local guard force at the U.S. Mission in Belize. This critical role demands leadership capabilities, security expertise, and a deep understanding of local language and culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Operations:
    • Oversee access control points, ensuring proper procedures and protocols are followed.
    • Supervise and guide mobile patrol units, monitoring their activities and effectiveness.
    • Perform security patrols and inspections, maintaining vigilance and reporting any suspicious activity.
    • Assist with investigations and incident response, providing valuable insights and support.
  • Leadership and Training:
    • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior guards, fostering their skills and knowledge.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and commitment to duty.
    • Identify and develop potential in other guards, promoting their growth within the force.
  • Special Assignments:
    • Perform duties requiring specialized skills or increased responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
    • Contribute to the overall security posture of the Mission through proactive initiatives and problem-solving.
    • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to tackle diverse security challenges.

Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • Education: Successfully completed secondary education (e.g., high school diploma or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience in military, police, or guard force roles.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in the local language and proficient in English.
  • Security Expertise: Strong understanding of security procedures, access control protocols, and risk management principles.
  • Additional Requirements (depending on position specifics):
    • Current host-country driver's license (if mobile patrol duties are assigned).
    • Firearms training and certification (if identified as armed as per local regulations and contract requirements).
  • Personal Qualities:
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and Mission personnel.
