Sanford Federal Inc. is seeking qualified and responsible individuals to serve as Guard Drivers within the local guard force at the U.S. Mission in Belize. This vital role combines security duties with professional driving skills, demanding attentiveness, strong communication, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Security Operations:
  • Observe assigned areas for suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles.
  • Report observations and potential threats promptly and clearly to supervisors.
  • Question individuals and conduct security checks as necessary.
  • Call for police or other support when required.
  • Respond to calls for assistance within assigned areas.
  • Contribute to the overall security posture of the Mission through proactive vigilance.
• Driving Duties:
  • Demonstrate proficient driving skills in various conditions, including normal and high-pressure situations.
  • Operate assigned vehicles safely and efficiently to transport personnel and equipment.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and records accurately.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and Mission personnel.
  • Report incidents and concerns clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Work collaboratively with other guards and security personnel to ensure a unified response.

Qualifications:

• Education: Successfully completed secondary school education.
• Driving Experience: Minimum three years of commercial driving experience with a verifiable track record.
• Driving License: Valid host-country driver's license with a clean driving record for the past five years (no moving violations or accidents).
• Vision: Vision correctable to 20/20 with eye glasses provided by the Contractor.
• Driving Training: Completion of a Contractor-administered driving training and safety program with a "satisfactory" performance in the practical exam.
• Language Skills: English language proficiency as per Section J Exhibit A.
• Additional Requirements (depending on position specifics):
  • Firearms training and certification.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to duty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
